Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to pay for proofreading and editing?

Yes. Please see our pricing page.

Back to the start

Do you write assignments for students?

No. We are not an assignment writing service and we do not do any research for you or provide you with new content. You must complete the research and write your content first, before sending it to us for editing.

If you get someone else to write your assignment, you must be aware that you are committing an act of plagiarism and can be kicked out of your university, college or school. If you are an international student, you also risk losing your visa. Having someone else write your assignment constitutes cheating.

Our service can help you to pass or get a great grade, but you need to first write the content yourself. If you are concerned about plagiarism check with your professor or look up the official plagiarism policy at your university.

Is your service cheating? Has anyone been in trouble for using your service?

No. We have never heard of any student getting into trouble with a lecturer, tutor or university after using our service. In fact, the person that marks your assignment will often be appreciative of proofreading and may even recommend you use our service. You should be marked on your content, critical thinking and research abilities, and not hindered by your written English skills. Our service helps you to present your ideas clearly so that you can be graded for your understanding of the subject and not held back by poor spelling and grammar.

If you are concerned about plagiarism check with your professor about professional proofreading or look up the official plagiarism policy at your university.

May I choose the editor I want to have work on my assignment?

Yes, you may nominate a preferred editor when you submit your document. We can't guarantee that the editor you want will be available to meet your deadline. If your preferred editor is unavailable, you will be assigned an editor that is available.

Back to the start

Do I have to make payment before you return my document?

If you have never used our service before, we may ask that you make payment before we start work for you. We always ask for upfront payment for large jobs (over $200) from new clients in order to establish trust. Once you have used our service and have an established record of payment, we will no longer request upfront payment.

If you are a first time client and worried about making payment when you have tight assignment deadlines, please contact us a few days before you plan to send us your work. We can tell you how much your job will cost and you can make payment in advance to ensure that you don't risk missing your deadline.

Do you offer editing services anywhere in the world?

Yes. As we are an Internet-based company we can help anyone that has access to e-mail. Note that our prices are in Australian or United States dollars and we accept payments in Australian or United States currency.

Back to the start

I don't have a credit card; can I still use your services?

Yes. We accept many other forms of payment. Please see our payment page for more information.

You don't seem to have an editor with experience in the same field as the topic of my document. Can you still help me?

Yes, we certainly can. Every one of our editors has excellent written English skills so as long as your document is written in English we can be of service. Our staff have years of experience writing, assessing and editing academic documents. It is not our job to create new ideas for you, but to help you express your own ideas more clearly. Therefore, we do not need to have an in-depth knowledge of your subject matter. From your document we can quickly learn about your topic and identify mistakes in logic and errors in continuity between different parts of your work.

Chances are our editors have worked on a document from your field sometime in the past, given that they work on hundreds of documents each year. If a situation arises in which we cannot continue to work on your document, we will contact you immediately.

Should I send through materials such as a criteria sheet, supporting articles or other supplementary materials?

Yes, by all means, especially if the material provides guidelines on referencing and word counts. Make sure you tell us which documents are to be edited and which are supplemental materials only and not to be edited.

Back to the start

Do you provide feedback on the technical aspects of my assignment?

Yes and no. We cannot tell you whether you have answered a question correctly or whether your argument is sound. This would be plagiarism on your part since your content would not be your own. We are very careful regarding this aspect, as universities have very strict rules regarding assignment originality.

What we can do, however, is work on any technical aspects of your writing such as the structure of your argument, how you develop your points and how you explain concepts, as well as grammatical concerns.

Back to the start

Will you revise my document if I am not happy with your editing the first time?

In 99% of cases clients are pleased with our work the first time, however we are very happy to revise or clarify any areas of our editing. We complete revisions at no extra charge provided they are within the boundaries of the original project. If you request additional work on new content or a change of formatting to that which was first requested there may be an additional charge. Additional charges are at the discretion of the editor and clients are always informed of fees before work is commenced.

Back to the start

Can I use my funding allowance for proofreading and editing provided by my university to purchase your services?

Yes, many students are allocated a portion of their grant, scholarship or sponsorship funding for editing and proofreading and have used this to purchase our professional services. Check with your sponsors for advice regarding possibilities.

Back to the start

Do you offer wholesale rates so I can resell your services to my clients?

Yes we do. Please see our affiliates page for details or contact us.
